We're BACK!

Hey all of you HAC people! Hawaiian Algebra is back with a vengance, Thanks to our new sponsor. Granted she teaches Geometry, we owe her alot, cause the club was risked extinction.

We already had one meeting to name officers...however, anyone who knows this club knows that to be an officer, all you have to do is make up a position, and tell someone. So, we will be revising this, and put graduated members on our veteran list.

The NewsLetter will be coming out again soon, and to be removed from the list...remove yourself...

YES! We're finally back. Mikey took a niiicee loooonnnngggg time setting up another meeting. But we finally have gotten our act together. I don't know how many of you were at the meeting, (I stayed after to throw pots with Kathleen and Meizlik,) but I'm sure everyone there is aware of this:

VICTORY!!!

WOOT! HAC won all but a single game vs. the Latin Club. We cleaned their roman clockes pretty well! Thank you to everyone who participated! It was awsome, and I think everyone had a good time. The amount of people there was much more than we expected. And we would also like to thank people for being good sports, and not picking on us newbies to the game, and those who have no arm strength for throwing. (*cough*me*cough* ^_^) The Pugnacious Pinnapples might paint the rock this weekend, assuming the weather is nice.

Remember, if you wish to officially join our group of happy hawaiians, just post it somewhere on the site. and if you want a title, list that too. :-)

The Pugnacious Pineapples

HOORAH! H.A.C. finally has a team name. The choices included:
Tropical Terminators
Hawaiian Hula Dancers
Algebraiic Apes
Pugnacious Pineapples
Hubba Hubba Hula

The mvast majority chose Pugnacious Pineapples, which means "Pineapples that are eager to fight." (see THIS DEFINITION for reference) The cool people spell it Pi-napple (or something to that effect)

The meeting was a success, actually. I was amazed at how many people showed up. Our next meeting will be sometime next week, or possibly this friday. Our dodgeball game at the Lutheran Church is on Feb. 11. And we have 90 hits so far! Go us!

Thank you to all the people who have subscribed to our newsletter. I expect one to go out friday afternoon. Keep up good spirits, and pitch in for pina colada mix!

Welcome!!!

Welcome to the first official version of the Hawaiian Algebra Club website! Created by me, Bess, the one and only. Ok, as of now we still have alot to do: add the contact section; add titles to updates; change the font color; maybe center it; edit the words in the photo; add links; add a counter; add a calendar; add a guestbook; add a poll; and maybe make a member profile page with e-mails.

Java would help. A backround song would be cool, and we need fun links.

Don't forget about the meeting next wednesday, and the dodgeball game against the Latin Club next friday!
